The FYM team has been here almost two weeks now! During these two weeks they have participated in “cultural dips” (city-wide scavenger hunts) in order to get to know the city of Matamoros, been introduced to Matamoros mud, spent time visiting a family from the church that lives nearby, and listened to the Lord’s direction about ministry choices. So far God has been surprising many of them by calling them out of their comfort zones and into areas of ministry where He will be able to stretch them and show His glory rather than just their skills. While the FYMs are buisy with their classes and ministry times I have been working on the administrative side of things here in Mexico and planning out my Spanish classes, but my favorite part of being back has been catching up with so many of the people I worked with last year! It has been such a blessing to talk with Clara, Lupita, Carmen and the other women from Granjas, and I am excited to see what more the Lord has planned for them this year. Please continue praying that God would keep our team unified and that we would all walk out His calling with confidence, casting aside our fears (I ask this especially for myself!). Also, this may seem like a small thing, but please pray that our internet would stop messing up; it makes contact with others so difficult. You all are such a blessing and such a huge part of this ministry! I would not be here without you! God bless! You are in my prayers!
