Now that the FYM program has finished and everyone has gone home, many of you may be wondering what I will be up to in this next season. Waiting for an answer from the Lord was a long process, another lesson in patience. I have known for a few months that I was supposed to continue working in Mexico after the FYM year, but I was not sure what that would look like. I looked into a few different options, which all sounded good, but I wanted to find the perfect thing. About a month ago God brought along an opportunity that seemed like a great fit. As of August I will be returning to the Gateway, AIM’s short-term mission base to help build ongoing relationships with the churches and pastors AIM works with in Matamoros. This will involve visiting the pastors and churches before the short-term trips arrive, checking in with them after the teams leave to make sure follow-up is happening, and looking for new churches to work with. I will have the chance to be a liaison between Mexicans and Americans, working for greater unity between the two. I am excited about this new opportunity to continue serving the Lord in Matamoros, Mexico. For now, I will be at home for a little over two months to prepare for another year in Mexico and to share with you all what the Lord accomplished during this last year. I ask for your prayers as I begin this next step in ministry.
During this week I will be working on my budget for next year, and I will let you know of any support changes as soon as I am finished. Thank you again for all your prayers & support. God bless you all!
