Things are going well here in Matamoros. I love the relaxed atmosphere of the close-knit community we live in outside the city. I am getting involved with the church I have helped at for two years, catching up with friends and acquaintances, teaching English at AIM's Mission Training Institute here in Matamoros, and getting to know some ofthe pastors AIM works with throughout the Spring and Summer.  I would also like to let you know about a new program that is coming to the Gateway in the new year.

   In January AIM will start a new program here at the Gateway called the Journey. It is an eight month program for young adults that focuses on training, leadership, ministry, art, and agriculture, all stemming out of community. The Journey will begin with five months of training and discipleship, and during the last three months the participants will disciple and lead the many high school students who come through the Gateway on week-long projects.
